Beautiful hotel to stay in right next to the beach just a short walk away Room was big and spacious with a view nice one although not a sea view the bathroom was just lush shower was lovely to use Only problem not knowing how to use the heating in the room The pool and hot tub was really quite and relaxing Breakfast service was fast and fresh Lovely experience all round

Great place to stay in Scarborough. Loved the service. Beer anf lemonade was amazing.

Sadly had three rooms due to some issues reguardless how clean they were and a smell coming from the bathroom, third room was ok and had a nice view over looking the sea and Scarborough harbour, pool and spa a nice touch and the staff were all friendly plenty of choice on the menu for food, just needs to address a few issues to make this worthy of it's 4 star rating and that to me should be considered luxury where as this felt more just above average but not luxury 3.5 / 5 location amazing staff amazing let down by the fire alarm going off which steam was to blame air vents were dirty this needs looking at, house keeping need to work more alongside maintenance to ensure issues are addressed. Safe in second room was broken but maintenance did sort this and were very friendly, reception and spa staff all excellent, can't comment on the food but had plenty of choice and had we not made plans we would of considered the curry night the hotel had on. Over all 3.5 / 5

The hotel itself was lovely! Unfortunately when we arrived and got into our bedroom around 11pm a member of staff was banging on the door demanding to be in, not once but twice. Which definitely ruined our stay, they’d apparently been a leak? There was also what looked like chewing gum in the sink? Apart from that the hotel was nice, the corridors & bar were clean & the front of house staff were lovely

Very Friendly staff ,very overpriced rooms in need of a thorough clean ,not what I was expecting for the price. We stayed for one night at a cost of £285 (breakfast not included) we were refused breakfast in the morning as they where to busy , the restaurant must have only been half full ,we couldn’t believe it so we eat in a cafe around the corner from the hotel 👎🏿

The standard single room was gloomy and depressing. It was so hot I couldnt sleep and felt ill. It took 3 prompts to reception to finally get the radiator turned off. The pillows were flat and the kettle was broken so I complained to get it rectified. The toilet was filthy and the carpet had seen better days everything needed renewing. I was put in a booth at breakfast time there were marks on the wood panelling on the wall and damp on the ceiling and it smelled. I had to email the hotel after my stay as they over charged me for room service. No return visit from me.

Great Spa hotel for value for money & service. Wonderful sea views. Room was adequate & clean with a good view & piping hot water in bathroom. We only ate lunch which was enjoyable as were spa facilities. We will return

Check in was very slow. Our room was on the top floor and it was extremely warm. There was a fan but it didn’t work very well and not at all overnight so we were very uncomfortable. There was an awful smell in the room which we realised was coming from the bathroom so got a bit better by keeping the door closed. There was an unexpected TV in the bathroom but the buttons didn’t work well, we couldn’t turn it off when we eventually managed to get it turned on! The lighting was very poor in the room. There was a fridge that didn’t work. The spa area was looking very tired and dated and it was very busy with members of the gym and lots of large families with very loud children. It wasn’t a pleasant experience so we didn’t stay very long. Overall we didn’t have a great experience and wouldn’t choose to return.

This used to be one of Scarborough’s finest with its commanding site on the South Cliff, alas no more. It’s an ‘average’ place now. The staff were very good, the breakfast room and food were also extremely good. We didn’t use the spa facilities but met a couple who had and said they were ok. The front of the hotel has plywood nailed up and appears to be in need of some replacement flashings and painting. Our room was tired, lacked comfort, the bath was damaged and the carpet needed replacing badly. It also had pink spotlights in which really wasn’t to our taste, green or blue would have been far better. Stayed here many times in years gone by, disappointed on this trip.

Lovely place to stay. Very comfortable, stunning views, friendly, helpful staff, wonderful food, good public areas. Shame about the weather!
