"This hotel is ideally situated the reception staff were very helpful and friendly the rooms are quite a good size but omg the cobwebs were horrendous and we had a problem with the ventilation unit we never slept the first night but reception sorted it out after that . You have to request to have your room cleaned . We were there six nights and asked after three days but didn’t get done till the touring day . There is no aircon but every room has a good fan in but we had to clean it it was very dirty think place needs a good clean but having said that we would stay again but take a feather duster . The restaurant next door is part of the premier inn we tried to eat a couple of nights but were told no food it was only 6-45 and the managers attitude wasn’t good for a manager she said they were too busy . There was a lovely young girl called ruby worked there if only the other staff were that nice ."

"This place was amazing. Me and my other half just fancied a night somewhere in the countryside with great food. The Notley didn't disappoint. Simon and Caroline were fantastic hosts. The food is divine and I even had a glass of champagne for no reason. Very relaxed and lots of space to chill by the fire. The outside looks even better when it finally stops raining we might find out. Highly recommended. If they get themselves on the social media it would be constantly booked up undoubtedly "

"A beautiful authentic 500 year old hotel. We stayed 3 nights to attend a family funeral. Refreshments were served afterwards at the hotel. Cherie, the wonderful owner looked after us very well, the spread included a selection of sandwiches and delicious homemade cakes and scones. A great breakfast buffet including a full English breakfast that would set you up for the day! The bed was very comfortable, a modern shower - spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cherie is a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble. She gave us a lovely warm welcome together with her dear old doggies."

"Not recomended On arrival the outside impresion was poor not clean tatty paint with similar apearance inside.the room booked was an en suite double the room was generally ok.warm decorated ok.no desk or chairs and the bathroom un connected and down the hall ! And very cold with no heater.evening meal average with only just warm soup returning to my room for a rest after working all day i was confronted with a rock group practising below very loudly for 2 hours unaceptable for a £70 + £12 breakfast room.not suprising people ditch these places in favour of premier inns and there type the place needs a refurb in public areas and heating.breakfast was ok.coffee poor restaurant cold.staff dont seem to bother very much "

"We stayed here for two nights during our summer vacation trip. The room smelled awful upon check-in, followed by a large spider infestation. Later, we found stained sheets in the other room we booked. When we asked to change rooms, the front desk staff were arrogant. They changed one sheet, then said the other room was full and refused to resolve the issue. Luckily, we persisted and finally got a different room. We will never come back; the spiders were terrifying."

"Although staff were very friendly and welcoming. The second bed was not made up, the room was dirty - stains up the wall in several places , stains on the sink, toothbrush marks around the sink. The room was very cold and a dirty, dusty electric heater had been put in the room which clearly said “do not remove from reception”. The room was very loud due to a motor which went off regularly. We were there the night before my daughter had an exam and she got a terrible night of sleep due to being too cold and the noises from the rooms next door (staff area?)."

Мягкий картофель был красиво сделан, соус был очень вкусный, хотя очень тонкий и как такой мог бы сделать с большей частью, Грави лодки не было ручки и почти невозможно было прикоснуться из-за тепла, Да, это выглядело аккуратно, но функция определяет форму да? овощи были крошечные, но снова приятно приготовлены, если метл блядь, мне нужно было что-то еще, чтобы дать немного текстуры. Могу ли я решительно предложить вам рассмотреть все возможности достойного размера черного пудинга, который должен предложить вам сопровождать. Представление было только накоплено, что требует работы. Но да, звезда шоу была свинью, и это было великолепно и как большой человек достаточно в количестве, что для меня редко. Это было достаточно хорошо, что я хотел потратить время, чтобы порекомендовать его здесь. Еще раз за цену, еще немного жирной, еще немного овощей и достойный хрустящий кусочек черного пудинга ном. У моего друга был венисон хоризо бургер, но он провел свой ланч, глядя на мой."

"Ужасно отвратительные муравьи повсюду на завтраке: хлеб, пончики, круассаны, хлопья и т.д. Когда на ресепшене сказали: «Не волнуйтесь, такое случалось и в прошлом году», — нас совершенно не обеспокоило, что они бегают по нашему столу и еде (бекон, сосиски и т.д.) — на ваш выбор, потенциальные гости! Обслуживание клиентов совершенно равнодушно."

"WOW This has to be one of the best places we go for an over night stay, rooms nice and clean and set up as expected. They have a restaurant in the hotel now and boy is it worth it, meal deal prices are so good and that your breakfast as well for 26.99, i had chicken tikka skewers and sticky pud, hubby had the tomato soup to start and its the best we have ever tasted even beats Heniz. kids ate well with the pasta choice and the staff can not do enough for you so happy and bubbly in their roles, Katie was the Duty manager on shift and was running her team in the restaurant so well no one was waiting for anything and it was nice to hear the staff talking and gigging. Deb was our chef in the morning for breakfast and she can cook, her pouched eggs are to die for !! thank you all for yet another stay see you in the summer."
