Literally next to the train station so perfect for us. On site pool was fab for my son. Fridge in room was perfect as I had medication that needed to be kept cold. The window was open when we arrived. So we closed it. But our room was freezing. We were given a heater for our room which helped. We got a too good to go surprise bag (breakfast) from the reception and my son couldn’t eat it all. There was loads. 11am checkout was perfect too. Definitely stay again.

They need to have a serious renovation. Everything it’s outdated … no aircon beds are uncomfortable.

the location is very good but there are few stairs to reach to the lobby. Overall a very decent hotel in Newcastle

I booked Room 327 for 5days 4 nights , family room, the toilet vacuum keeps on noisy for 4 nights, The toilet floor were still sticky, and the wet/ dirty towels were put back on the rack after the janitor cleaned the room. It’s very horrible how come the staffs were so unhelpful and lazy. I tried to ask any luggage weigh or body weigh they said cannot help. There are gym and swimming facilities but need to pay £5 each time, These many stairs on each floor , so need to carry our luggage’s to walk down to the room when arrived and carry them walk up to the lift when we were leaving. Newcastle is such a beautiful and historic city but that hotel is too old and cannot protect and maintain in good condition Also, we double charge me, as I payed to Trip.com before I took flight to UK, the staff as me to pay again when I was arriving. Need me to ask refund when I go back my hometown but the customer seems not to smart to handle it. This was a bad experience when I lived hotel in UK

We had a great stay at the hotel, right in the center of Newcastle. The location was perfect for easily reaching everything in the city. The room was warm, clean, and comfortable, making our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, the swimming pool wasn’t working last night, and the hot tub wasn’t quite warm enough, but aside from that, everything else was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely stay here again.

Great staff & fab service. Location is unbeatable. Hotel is not new and a little jaded around the edges but has a lot of charm and reminiscent of a bygone age (in a good way 😀)

This hotel is, at most, a 20 seconds walk to the train station. My room was clean and had everything I needed. Unfortunately my stay was too short to try the leisure facilities or the breakfast this time but Im sure they will be good. Check in and out were quick and easy and the staff were lovely. Value for money is a definite

Great hotel which has kept it's grandeur. The room was spotless and the decor was minimalistic which was in keeping with hotel. It was a great price and I will stay again. Staff were friendly.

Stayed in this hotel for a one night business trip stay over. If you’re looking for something with a little character this is a great place to stay . Central Newcastle , right next to the central train station and Metro entrance, a little bit of elegance. A lovely entrance foyer ( decorated with an amazing Christmas tree) with large chandeliers and helpful staff at check in. Finding my room was a bit of an adventure , but part of the charm of a historic building . My room was clean , quiet , mini fridge , kettle and tea/coffee , tv , surprisingly good bathroom and comfortable bed. I had a good English breakfast in the morning , and again the staff were lovely. I thought it was very good value , and I would stay again .
