My wife and I love this place. It is a bit old but well maintained. The front staff is very warm, courteous and personal unlike the modern hotels. The dinner and breakfast were just awesome. The quality is much better than other ryokans that we have stayed. The dishes are specially prepared and served in nice cutlery. They even arranged an English speaking waiter from Nepal to serve us. But unlike most ryokans where food is served in the room, we have to go to the dinning hall for our meals. The location is right in the middle of Yufuin main street. We are not aware that they provide free pick up service from the Railway Station. We had to roll our 2 large suitcases which is a fair walk from the Station. It was only when we ask the hotel to arrange a taxi upon checking out that they told us they can provide the ride.

Lovely ryokan along the walking street full of shops. Very convenient to get to from the train station because the walk was interesting and weather was very cool! The staff were so friendly and they can speak English. Met Rosina at front desk and she was cheerful and helpful as with the rest too! Would love to stay here again.Food was exceptional-Kaiseiki. We had in room onsen which was great cos the public one was rather small. We stayed here for 2 nights. We had traditional Japanese breakfast which we liked very much but they served us western breakfast on the 2nd morning(we were not so keen on it)

Part of a tour of Japan on business. One night here and could not have been better. Wonderful service, beautiful location and amenities. Great value too. 5 stars are deserved. All the staff were clearly committed to offering top service. They succeeded.

置いてあるものがひとつひとつ可愛いくて癒されました。 豪華とか洗練とかでなく誠実であったかい感じがしました。 夕食も朝食も美味しくて、楽しんで作って下さってる気持ちが伝わって来て嬉しかったです！ 外国人のスタッフさんが多かったですが、皆さん日本が好きで喜んで働いて下さってる感じがして微笑ましかったです！ ありがとうございました！
